The Crisafulli Government is celebrating Queensland's youngest residents and their families, with the latest G'day Little Queenslanders event in Townsville.
The heartwarming free events are all about bringing together Queensland's new babies and their families, for a morning of fun, laughter, and activities including everyone's favourite heelers, Bluey and Bingo.
The family-friendly event at Anderson Gardens in Mundingburra on 16 August, will feature live children's entertainment including the Bluey Live Interactive Experience, food trucks, and welcoming spaces to play, relax and connect.
It's just one of the ways the Crisafulli Government is delivering a fresh start and a plan for Queensland's future, while also ensuring parents have access to the must-know government resources and local services.
Parents can also register their children aged 0-2 years to receive a personalised certificate on the day.
Premier David Crisafulli said G'day Little Queenslander events brought local families together to celebrate our newest Queenslanders.
"G'day Little Queenslanders is about celebrating life's early milestones for our youngest Queenslanders, bringing families together and building community connections," Premier Crisafulli said.
"It's a great opportunity for people from Townsville and surrounding areas to discover and connect with a wide range of supports available, including government resources, health services and community organisations.
"These events are being held in communities across our State so even more families, no matter where they live in Queensland, feels supported and connected."
Member for Townsville Adam Baillie welcomed the return of the free family event to North Queensland.
"We're excited to bring G'day Little Queenslanders back to Townsville after an incredibly popular event last year, giving parents another opportunity to make special memories, connect with local services and celebrate our newest Queenslanders," Mr Baillie said.
Member for Mundingburra Janelle Poole said it was exciting to see the State's youngest Queenslanders come together, connect with their peers, and engage in a fun family day.
"This event is yet another way that we're supporting families and young people in the community, providing them with alternative ways to build connection and develop our young people's social skills," Ms Poole said.
Member for Thuringowa Natalie Marr said every parent, grandparent, and carer across Thuringowa and Townsville was encouraged to bring their little ones along to Anderson Gardens on 16 August.
"This free family event is all about creating special memories together, laughing with Bluey and Bingo, enjoying live entertainment, relaxing in welcoming play spaces, and connecting with other local families who are raising young children," Ms Marr said.
"Moments like these are so important for our families. They give us the chance to celebrate our youngest ones, share the ups and downs of early parenting, and build the friendships and support networks that help every family feel stronger and more connected."
