General Officer Announcements 7 September

Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III announced today that the president has made the following nominations:

Air Force Lt. Gen. James C. Slife for appointment to the grade of general, with assignment as vice chief of staff, U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Slife is currently serving as deputy chief of staff, Operations, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Air Force Maj. Gen. Sean M. Farrell for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general, with assignment as deputy commander, U.S. Special Operations Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. Farrell is currently serving as deputy commanding general, Joint Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Space Force Maj. Gen. David N. Miller Jr., for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general, with assignment as commander, Space Operations Command, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. Miller is currently serving as special assistant to the vice chief of space operations, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Air Force Maj. Gen. Adrian L. Spain for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general, with assignment as deputy chief of staff, Operations, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Spain is currently serving as director, Training and Readiness, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Air Force Col. Matthew S. Allen for appointment to the grade of brigadier general. Allen is currently serving as the director, Legislative Affairs, Headquarters U.S. Special Operations Command, Pentagon, Washington, D. C.

Air Force Col. Trent C. Davis for appointment to the grade of brigadier general. Davis is currently serving as the command chaplain, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.

Air Force Col. Lawrence T. Sullivan for appointment to the grade of brigadier general. Sullivan is currently serving as the principal military assistant to the secretary of defense, Department of Defense, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
