Girrawheen Fatal Crash

Major Crash Investigation Section officers are seeking information regarding a fatal crash in Girrawheen yesterday, Tuesday 20 December 2022.

About 4:00pm, a white Yamaha R1 motorcycle was being ridden east on Beach Road. It appears the male rider lost control of the motorcycle near the intersection of Redcliffe Avenue, resulting in both him and his female pillion passenger becoming separated from the motorcycle.

The male rider failed to remain at the scene of the crash, leaving the area on foot. The investigation into the identity of this person is ongoing.

The female pillion passenger, who is believed to be a 31-year-old woman, died at the scene.
