Gnangara Homicide Investigation

Homicide Squad detectives are seeking information regarding the death of a 34-year-old man at a workshop premises in Gnangara yesterday, Thursday 29 September 2022.

About 4:00pm police were called to the Sydney Road workshop premises in relation to an incident in which a man had been shot. Police and St John WA personnel attended the scene, where it was confirmed the man was deceased. His injuries were consistent with being shot with a firearm.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.

Detective Senior Sergeant Keith NEUBRONNER from the Homicide Squad said the shooting appears to be a targeted attack.

"Based on what we know so far it appears this incident was a targeted attack, and while the offender is clearly a dangerous person there is no information to suggest nearby residents were in any direct danger.

"As our investigation continues we believe information from the community could provide us with a key piece of the investigation puzzle, and we ask anyone who has information or camera vision that could assist with this investigation to make contact with us."
