Gnowangerup Fatal Crash

Major Crash Investigators are seeking information regarding a fatal crash in Gnowangerup yesterday afternoon, Saturday 18 January 2020.

About 2:40pm a Mitsubishi Outlander was being driven east on Broomehill-Gnowangerup Road. At the same time a Holden Calais was being driven west on the same road.

About 12km west of the intersection of Walsh Street, the two vehicles collided head-on with each other.

The driver of the Mitsubishi Outlander, a 64-year-old woman from Gnowangerup, died at the scene.

The driver of the Holden Calais, a 75-year-old woman from Gnowangerup, and the passenger in her vehicle, a 95-year-old woman from Katanning, were flown to Royal Perth Hospital by the RAC Rescue helicopter. The 95-year-old woman died later in the evening.
