Grafton Raid: Drugs, Firearm Seized

Two men will face court charged after a search warrant was executed at a property near Grafton yesterday morning.

About 8.30am yesterday (Wednesday 30 July 2025), the Coffs Harbour Region Enforcement Squad, North Coast Domestic Violence High Risk Offender Team, and Grafton Proactive Crime Team executed a search warrant at a property in Pillar Valley as part of an investigation into alleged drug supply.

During a search of the property, police allegedly located and seized 75 cannabis plants, 339g cannabis leaf, a firearm, mobile phone, an SUV believed to have been stolen, and 223g of a white crystal substance that will undergo further examination.

As part of inquiries, police spoke with two men at the property aged 28 and 55.

The younger man was issued a court attendance notice for possess unauthorised firearm, and not keep firearm safely-not pistol/prohibited firearm.

He will appear before Grafton Local Court on Monday 15 September 2025.

The older man was arrested and taken to Grafton Police Station where he was charged with five offences:

  • Cultivate prohibited plant, greater than or equal to commercial quantity – cannabis,
  • Cultivate prohibited plant, greater than small and less than indictable quantity,
  • Supply prohibited drug, greater than small and less than indictable quantity,
  • Goods suspected stolen in/on premises (motor vehicle), and
  • Possess prohibited drug.

He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 1 today (Thursday 31 July 2025).
