Northern Territory Police are currently searching for 27-year-old man Jermaine Austral who they believe can assist with an ongoing investigation.
Around 2:10pm yesterday, police received reports that he allegedly unlawfully entered a property in Johnston, armed with a firearm, before fleeing the scene a short time later.
No injuries were reported and the firearm was not discharged.
An arrest plan was formulated with investigators from Serious Crime, The Dog Operations Unit, the Territory Response Group and general duties with officers deploying into Johnston and the Northern Suburbs.
Mr Austral was unable to be located and investigations remain ongoing.
Detectives are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to make contact.
