Detectives from the Gladstone Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a man following an alleged serious assault that occurred in Gladstone West last night, March 30.
It will be alleged that around 7:30pm, three people became involved in a physical altercation at a carpark on Dawson Road, before one of the men was assaulted, causing him to fall to the ground.
The 25-year-old Bellbird Park man was taken to Gladstone Hospital with serious head injuries, before being airlifted to Brisbane for treatment.
Following investigations, detectives this afternoon arrested a 20-year-old Kin Kora man at Gladstone Central and has since been charged with grievous bodily harm.
He was refused police bail and is due to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court tomorrow, April 1
