Hairdresser charged over sexual touching of two teenage girls near Hornsby

A hairdresser has been charged over the alleged sexual touching of two teenage girls in Sydney's north-west.

In May this year, officers from Ku-ring-gai Police Area Command commenced an investigation following reports a 15-year-old girl had allegedly been sexually touched by a man while at a hairdressing salon in Asquith.

During the investigation, it was established a 17-year-old girl was also allegedly sexually touched by a man while at the business.

Following extensive investigations, detectives executed a search warrant at a hairdressing salon at Asquith last Thursday (11 November 2021).

During the search, police seized a computer and documentation, which will undergo further examination.

Yesterday (Friday 19 November 2021), investigators arrested a 68-year-old man at Hornsby Police Station.

He was charged with sexually touch another person without consent and intentionally sexually touch child (between 10 and 16 years).

The man was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Hornsby Local Court on Wednesday 15 December 2021.

Investigations are continuing.
