Harmony Week in Bayside

Over 106,000 residents call Bayside home with a growing representation of our residents born in China, United Kingdom, New Zealand, South Africa, United States of America and India. Just over 19% of our residents speak a language other than English at home and Bayside is home to almost 200 residents that identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

Harmony Day marks the start of Harmony Week, a time to celebrate Australian multiculturalism. It's about inclusiveness, respect and showing that everyone belongs regardless of cultural or linguistic background.

This week also commemorates Victoria's Cultural Diversity Week, a time for all Victorians to share their stories, appreciate our shared experiences and celebrate the best of what a multicultural society has to offer.
