The Critical Minerals Tax Incentive (CMPTI) will support establishment and expansion of critical minerals processing and refining in Australia.
The CMPTI is part of the Australian Government's Future Made in Australia plan and will be available from 1 July 2027.
Eligible companies will be able to claim a tax offset on the cost of processing and refining critical minerals in Australia. Our department will jointly administer the CMPTI with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
