Have your say on Bendigo's Positive Ageing Plan 2023-25

The City of Greater Bendigo is encouraging all interested people and older adults to view its draft Positive Ageing Action Plan 2023-2025, answer a few questions and provide their general feedback.

City of Greater Bendigo Director Healthy Communities and Environment Stacy Williams said the draft plan focuses on prioritising health and wellness, participation, connection to culture and community and liveability.

"It also outlines the City's commitment to older adults and guides the City's work with older people in the community for the next two years," Ms Williams said.

"The City is committed to supporting older adults to age well and we want to hear from them and the wider community to learn what type of projects, events and support they'd like the City to be involved in.

"We want residents to tell us if we have got it right, what's missing and how can this action plan be more inclusive.

"We are especially keen to hear from older adults and anyone who has an interest in supporting older people in the community about what they think our priorities should be."

You can view the plan and provide your feedback by completing the survey online at www.letstalkgreaterbendigo.com.au/positiveageing or you can pick up a survey at City offices in Hopetoun Street Bendigo and Heathcote and local libraries. The survey will be open until Friday March 17, 2023.

Feedback will be considered and incorporated into the final Positive Ageing Action Plan which will be presented to Council for adoption in the second half of 2023.
