Help plan Williamstown's new playground

Barossa Council

Residents young and old are invited to attend a playground planning meeting on Wednesday 21 April from 2.30pm - 3.30pm at Williamstown's Queen Victoria Jubilee Park (QVJP).

Consultants from Climbing Tree Creations, a South Australian based company focused on nature play design, will be available at the meeting to discuss potential features for the new playground to be constructed at QVJP.

We understand through feedback from the Williamstown Action Group that the local community are keen to see something other than modernised 'off the shelf' style playground equipment in this space

- Mayor Bim Lange

"We have taken this on board and have begun exploring other options with a greater focus on natural materials, but want to ensure both kids and adults alike have the opportunity to have their say on the ideas."

The new playground will replace the equipment which was removed last year to make way for the dog park, and create a centralised play and leisure space in its new location adjacent the pool and BBQ area.
