Perth and Western Australia will be the centre of world football this August, with broadcast partners for the Calcio Italiano Festival announced today.
Hot on the heels of the FIFA World Cup, the world-exclusive festival will take Perth to football audiences across five continents, with a major international broadcast network confirmed for the three-match festival in Perth.
Seven Network will be the Australian broadcast partner, bringing AC Milan, FC Internazionale Milano, Juventus and Palermo FC to viewers across the country.
Internationally, the matches will be carried by broadcasters across Europe, Asia, South America, Africa and the Middle East, providing access to some of the world's largest football markets.
Broadcast partners have been confirmed in more than 20 countries across the world including UOL in Brazil, L'quipe in France, RTL in Belgium, Qiujing in China and DAZN in Japan.
The games will also be telecast in Italy through existing broadcast arrangements with the four visiting clubs.
In total, the matches will potentially reach more than 500 million viewers across the world.
The global footprint will put Perth and Western Australia in front of football supporters across the world during three major fixtures:
Milan Derby | Inter v AC Milan | Wednesday, 5 August
Derby D'Italia|Inter v Juventus | Saturday, 8 August
Juventus v Palermo| Tuesday, 11 August
The international coverage reflects the worldwide interest in the four Italian clubs and gives Western Australia a significant platform across key tourism and football markets.
Perth and Western Australia will be showcased in countries around the world, while giving fans in Australia the opportunity to see some of Italian football's biggest clubs and rivalries live.
Tickets remain on sale through Ticketmaster, with prices starting from $49.80 and more than half of all tickets priced below $100.
