Hawkesbury City Council is inviting residents to Have Your Say on four projects that are aimed at improving local parks, playgrounds and recreation spaces across the Hawkesbury.
These projects include park upgrades at Rutherglen Park in Hobartville and Bradley Reserve in South Windsor, and draft concept masterplans for Navua Reserve in Grose Wold and Brinsley Park in Pitt Town.
Feedback from the community will help guide the development of plans for these projects, ensuring the proposed improvements reflect the needs of residents and contribute to vibrant, accessible and well-used open spaces for current and future generations.
Implementation of these proposed park upgrades will be undertaken once funding becomes available.
Rutherglen Park Playground Renewal, Hobartville

Council is planning to renew the existing playground at Rutherglen Park, creating a safer, more contemporary play space for local families.
The project proposes the removal of the existing playground to install new play equipment, safety surfacing and shade structures to improve the play experience for children of all ages.
Bradley Road Reserve Playground Renewal, South Windsor

Council is seeking community feedback to inform concept designs for a renewed playground at Bradley Road Reserve.
The project will involve the development of concept designs by specialist landscape architects, with community feedback helping to shape the final design. The playground renewal is intended to deliver a safer, more enjoyable and contemporary play space for residents once funding becomes available.
Navua Reserve Masterplan, Grose Wold

Council has prepared a draft concept masterplan for Navua Reserve and is seeking feedback on the long-term vision for the popular riverside reserve.
The draft plan proposes a range of improvements, including upgraded vehicle access and parking, new picnic and recreation facilities, improved river access, accessible pathways and walking tracks, environmental restoration works, additional shade planting and interpretive signage celebrating the area's environmental and cultural heritage.
Brinsley Park Masterplan, Pitt Town
Community Consultation closes 16 August 2026
Residents are invited to provide feedback on the draft concept masterplan for Brinsley Park.
The proposed long-term vision includes improved recreation and sporting facilities, new pedestrian connections, upgraded parking, additional landscaping and shade planting, community gathering spaces, outdoor exercise facilities and improvements to the park's entry and memorial precinct.
The concept masterplan will help guide the future development of the reserve, subject to detailed design, funding availability and relevant approvals.
