Help Wanted to Build Citrus Sculpture for Real Juice Co

The call has gone out to locals who can spare a few hours to help transform Banna Avenue into an eye-catching display ahead of this year's Griffith Spring Fest.

Construction day for the Real Juice Company Citrus Sculptures will be Sunday 8 October 2023, with around 800 volunteers expected to roll up their sleeves.

Griffith City Council's Event Coordinator Izabella Apolloni is inviting community-minded people to lend a hand.

"We would love as many people as possible help us out," Ms Apolloni said.

"This year we've got 60 sculptures registered. A mix of new and older favourites.

"The Real Juice Company Citrus Sculptures are always a popular part of Griffith Spring Fest, our flagship festival, incorporating the Griffith Garden Festival, the LINX Launch Party and many other events that showcase everything our region has to offer."

Griffith Mayor, Councillor Doug Curran is encouraging residents to get behind the morning of construction.

"It only takes a few hours and the end result is absolutely brilliant," said Councillor Curran.

"If you can help out, please do so, it so good to see the sensational community spirit we all know that Griffith has in abundance."

All are welcome to take part in bringing the sculptures to life on the day, but be sure to wear your closed in shoes and bring your bucket.
