The first stage of the Hidden Valley Master Plan upgrade is revving up, with the Territory Labor Government investing $3 million in Budget 2024 to make the beloved motorsport track more accessible for all Territorians.
The upgrades will ensure that motorsport fans with a disability have improved facilities, upgraded pathways, new lighting and better signage.
These initial upgrades will ensure fans of all abilities can more easily enjoy the action trackside.
They will also ensure a coordinated and sequenced delivery of the remainder of the first stage of the Hidden Valley Master Plan, including:
Upgrades to the pits area including installing a shade canopy, stairs and additional pit spacesA new control tower and medical centreCreating a new entrance for Hidden Valley
The remaining stages of the Plan, to be funded in the future, will include on-track lighting to allow for night races to be held at the venue, a campground and a new shaded grandstand to improve spectator experience.
The investment is part of the Hidden Valley Master Plan which will ensure the venue remains a state-of-the-art facility and will put the NT on the map for large international events.
Hidden Valley is the premier racing facility in the Northern Territory and hosts the Supercars along with other major motorsport events.
