Historical Child Abuse Charges

Sex Assault Squad detectives have charged a man in relation to historical child abuse offences committed against a child of his de facto partner between 2012 and 2016.
It is alleged the man, who was aged between 34 and 38 years old at the time, committed several sexual based offences against the daughter of his de-facto partner. The offences occurred in a southern suburb and the South West region of the state. The child was aged between 13 and 17 years old at the time.
The now 45-year-old man has been charged with:
- 6 x Knowingly sexually penetrated a lineal relative or de facto child under the age of 16 years old
- 3 x Indecently dealt with a lineal relative or de facto child under the age of 16 years old
- 1 x A person who persistently engaged in sexual conduct with a child under the age of 16 years
- 5 x Indecent Dealings with a Child who is a Lineal Relative or De Facto Child
He is due to appear in Bunbury Magistrates Court today, Thursday 14 September 2023.
