HKU hosted HKU Partner Day 2026, a dynamic two-day event serving as a prelude to the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) 2026 Conference.

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) hosted HKU Partner Day 2026 on 22–23 February, a dynamic two-day event serving as a prelude to the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) 2026 Conference. The event brought together over 400 higher education leaders, institutional partners, and scholars from around the world to strengthen global collaboration and explore emerging trends shaping the future of education.

The event opened with a Victoria Harbour Night Cruise Reception, where guests networked against the backdrop of Hong Kong's iconic skyline. The following day, participants immersed themselves on HKU campus with an Opening Ceremony officiated by Professor Jay Siegel, HKU Vice-President and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Teaching and Learning). The ceremony featured a vibrant lion dance performance by HKU students, celebrating cultural traditions and setting an energetic tone for the discussions ahead.

The programme featured interactive workshops delving into critical topics in global education. Building Resilient and Inclusive Higher Education Systems explored strategies for equitable learning environments, while AI in Education@HKU highlighted the University's leadership in integrating artificial intelligence into teaching and research. Empowering Minds and Cultivating Global Perspectives showcased HKU's role in developing future-ready graduates, and Empowering Students to Think Entrepreneurially Across Disciplines demonstrated cross-disciplinary approaches to innovation. The session on Fostering a Supportive Campus Environment provided insights into HKU's holistic approach to student development. Participants also enjoyed guided campus tours, and museum visits, gaining firsthand exposure to HKU's academic excellence and collaborative opportunities with global institutions.

HKU Partner Day 2026 reinforced the University's commitment to international collaboration, academic excellence, and student success.
