About 7.40pm, emergency services attended a residence on Frederick Street, following reports a woman had sustained serious injuries.
The 58-year-old woman was located with stab wound injuries, and was conveyed to Broome Hospital for medical treatment.
The 56-year-old man was located by police nearby and was arrested.
It will be alleged a verbal altercation occurred between the two individuals inside the residence, before the man stabbed the woman several times with a knife. It is believed the incident occurred minutes prior to emergency services arrival.
Police believe the incident is family violence related.
The 56-year-old man from Broome was charged one count of 'Aggravated Grievous Bodily Harm', and was remanded in custody.
On Saturday, 25 October 2025, the woman succumbed to her injuries and died in hospital.
Homicide Squad detectives deployed to the area, and upgraded the 56-year-old man's charge to one count of 'Murder'
He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, Sunday 26 October 2025
