Seniors Festival

Camden Council is preparing to celebrate Seniors Festival 2026, with festivities beginning next month.

Seniors Festival encourages residents aged 55 years and over to explore new experiences, continue learning, share their expertise and enjoy the wide range of activities available in Camden.

This year's theme is 'live life in colour', which encourages seniors to celebrate the journey, adventures to come and have joy in ageing by embracing creativity, new connections and an active lifestyle.

This year's program includes:

  • Have a Go at Croquet, where attendees will learn the basic skills of croquet, every Monday in March 2026, 9am, at Camden Park Cricket Ground;
  • Free Community Vaccination Clinics at Narellan, the last Tuesday of every month, 10am-2.30pm, at Narellan Library; and at Camden, the last Wednesday of every month, 10am-2.30pm, at Camden Senior Citizens Centre;
  • Take the Plunge, from Monday 2 to Sunday 15 March, 7am-7pm, which is free entry to Mount Annan Leisure Centre, Oran Park Leisure Centre, and Camden Pools;
  • Be Aware, Be Cyber Wise - Artificial Intelligence, a cyber security awareness workshop focused on AI, on Wednesday 4 March, 10.30am-12.30pm, at Camden Civic Centre;
  • Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, a fun and interactive beginner session introducing the basics of AI, on Monday 9 March, 10-11am, at Camden Library;
  • Changes to Aged Care, an information session explaining the new Aged Care Act, resident rights and how to access support, on Tuesday 10 March, 10.30am-12pm, at Narellan Library;
  • Waterwise Gardening, a practical workshop on drought-resilient gardening, irrigation methods and water conservation, on Thursday 12 March, 10am-12pm, at Spring Farm Community Centre;
  • Chess Club on every Thursday from Thursday 12 March, 10am-noon, at Oran Park Library;
  • Walking Soccer Come and Try Day, which is an opportunity to experience the fun, fitness and community spirit of this small-sided, low-impact, modified version of soccer, on Tuesday 17 March, 10am-noon, at Belgenny Reserve;
  • Trivia Time on Thursday 19 March, 10.30am-12.30pm, at Camden Civic Centre; Nepean River Bird Watching Trail on Monday 23 March, 9-11am, at Camden Town Farm - Nepean River Trail, Camden;
  • Camden Cultures, a dinner and concert celebrating Camden's cultural diversity through food, music and performances, on Friday 27 March, 6.30-9pm, at Camden Civic Centre; and
  • Brain Training, which involves puzzles, trivia and memory-building activities, starting from Wednesday 11 March and continuing every second Wednesday of the month, 10-11.30am, at Narellan Library.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, encouraged seniors to get involved.

"We have such a fantastic program for this year's Seniors Festival - it has continue to grow each year and we're all the better for it!" she said.

"Our local seniors contribute so much to our community, so it's incredible to be able to honour and celebrate them.

"I look forward to seeing all those eligible get involved and have some fun."
