Houston mayoral candidates to address issues at Rice U. forum

As the Houston mayoral race heats up, the leading candidates will take the stage to discuss issues facing voters at an Oct. 3 forum at Rice University.

USA flag in style. Photo by 123rf.comCandidates Dwight Boykins, Tony Buzbee, Bill King, Sue Lovell and Mayor Sylvester Turner are scheduled to participate in the event. The forum will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Rice Memorial Center's Grand Hall.

The forum is sponsored by Houston Millennials, Rice Multicultural Community Relations, Baker Institute Roundtable Young Professionals, Millennial Project X, NAHREP (National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals) Houston, Harris County Young Democrats, Harris County Young Republicans, Houston Area Urban League Young Professionals and Move Texas.
