Identify Man After Sydney Sex Assault: Police Appeal

Police have released CCTV images and are appealing for public assistance after a sexual touching incident in Sydney City.

Police have been told a 17-year-old girl was sexually touched by a man about 5.30am on Monday 27 February 2023, in St Andrews Square, near Sydney Town Hall.

The woman then walked to Day Street Police Station, where she reported the matter to police.

As inquiries continue, police have released images of a man who may be able to assist with the investigation.

The man depicted is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged 25 to 30, of muscular build, olive complexion, with brown hair and a brown beard. He described as having tattoos on his right forearm.

He is shown wearing three-quarter light-coloured pants, a navy blue/black T-shirt, a black baseball cap and tan sandals. He was carrying a light-coloured back-pack.
