Indecent assault arrest 9 August

Fremantle Detectives have charged a 34-year-old man as part of their ongoing investigation into the alleged indecent assault of women he met through his workplace.

On Thursday 1 July 2020, a woman in her 20s attended a restaurant in Willetton for a job trial with the charged man. It is alleged the man made unwanted advances to her. He then threatened her before physically and indecently assaulting her.

On Saturday 10 July 2021, a woman in her 30's attended an eatery in Yagan Square Northbridge where the charged man now works. He provided her numerous free alcoholic drinks before escorting her to his residence at a motel on Aberdeen Street Northbridge. It is further alleged during the early hours of Sunday 11 July 2021 he indecently assaulted the woman in the same manner as the first victim.

The 34-year-old man from Northbridge has been charged with:-

• Two counts of Unlawful and Indecent Assault.

He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 9 August 2021.

The investigation is ongoing and detectives believe the man still actively messages women he has met through various social media platforms.
