Information appeal after Lara Railway Station assault

Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following an assault at Lara Railway Station earlier this week.

It is understood a man was travelling on a train between Geelong and Lara when the male conductor asked him to turn his music down on Wednesday, 10 August.

They both got off the train at Lara Railway Station about 8.30am, and following an altercation, the man punched the conductor in the face.

The member of staff sustained facial injuries.

Police were told the offender fled the scene on foot.

Investigators have released CCTV and images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
