Information caravan - Sydenham homicide investigation

Homicide Squad detectives appealing for further information will man an information caravan today as part of their investigation into the murder of Vicki Ramadan.

The 77-year-old, who was brutally assaulted, was discovered by a neighbour inside her Marlborough Way home on Saturday 6 April about 9.45am.

As part of the ongoing investigation detectives are hoping the information caravan will encourage members of the community or passers-by to come forward with information.

The caravan will be set up at the intersection of Melton Highway Service Road and Stratheden Court in Sydenham and will run from 10am till 5pm.

Investigators are particularly appealing for anyone who had any involvement with Vicki or anyone who may have knowledge of her whereabouts since Saturday 23 March, 2019 to contact police.

Detectives are again reiterating Vicki was often seen walking to locations and was known to use public transport, in particular buses and taxis. It was also not uncommon for Vicki to frequent the Watergardens shopping centre and it's believed she was well known by local traders.

Investigators with the assistance of Major Crime Scene Unit and Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit will also revisit the scene and surrounding areas as well as speak to local residents.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
