Information sought - 80 year old woman assaulted walking in Bentley

Cannington Detectives are seeking information regarding an incident in Bentley on Tuesday, 12 April 2022 in which a woman was injured.

Around 6.30pm, an 80-year-old woman was walking along Boulder Street, between Ashburton and Coolgardie Streets, when she was approached from behind by an unknown male.

The male grabbed a gold necklace the woman was wearing an attempted to pull it from her neck. During this, the woman was pushed to the ground, causing her to sustain a number of injuries and she was treated in hospital.

The man is described as 20 to 30 years of age, tall, with olive skin, black hair, and wearing a black t-shirt and cap and dark coloured shorts.

Detectives urge anyone with information regarding this incident, or who has CCTV or dash-cam vision of the area at the time of the incident, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
