Leon McIvor is the Director General of the Department of Housing and Works.
Leon was the Deputy Director General, Housing and Homelessness at the Department of Communities. His experience includes delivering more than 3,000 new social homes since 2021-2022.
He has led a team of more than 1,400 staff across property and tenancy management, planning, strategic and operational policy, strategic asset management, intergovernmental relations, maintenance, acquisitions, property development, construction, and major projects, including election commitments.
Leon has held General Manager, Executive Director and Deputy Director General roles in the WA Government across Tourism, Agriculture, Health and Housing portfolios.
