Investing in Our International Students

NT Government

The Territory Government is investing in our international students with the announcement of our StudyNT student ambassadors and the awarding of our second round of 2020-21 International Student Wellbeing Grants.

It is estimated that International students contribute over $100 million in export revenue and supported hundreds of ongoing jobs in the Territory and initiatives like these have helped international students connect and engage with other students, businesses and the Territory community.

Twelve businesses and organisations have received an International Student Wellbeing grant and 26 international students are set to promote the Territory as an ideal study destination and place to call home for international students.

The 2021 Student Ambassadors come from around the world including Bangladesh, China, Colombia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, India, Italy, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Peru, Switzerland, Slovakia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

During their year-long appointment ambassadors will undertake professional development, attend networking events with other students and Territory employers as well as receive valuable volunteering and work experience.
