IOP Publishing celebrates most influential Chinese and Indian papers with its 'Top-cited paper awards'

For the fifth consecutive year, IOP Publishing (IOPP) is celebrating the significance of Chinese and Indian research with its 'top-cited paper awards'. The awards recognise the strong research presence Chinese and Indian researchers have across the global scientific community and their valuable contribution to Physics.

The awards are presented to corresponding authors from China and India who are in the top one per cent of the most-cited articles published within IOPP's portfolio of journals between 2019 and 2021.

The top-cited papers spanned six subject areas, covering biosciences, environmental sciences, materials, mathematical sciences, reviews and physics.

Together, the 176 Chinese articles received a total of 8163 citations. In addition, the most-cited reviewed paper received 293 citations in total.

In total, the 46 top cited Indian papers received 2140 citations and the most highly cited review paper received 191 citations.
