It's time your home scored top energy efficiency points

We're partnering with expert home energy assessors, Ephe, to offer Stonnington residents access to an independent and reliable Residential Efficiency Scorecard assessor.

Whether you're a homeowner, a landlord, or a renter, our Towards Zero Home Energy Assessment Program is your chance to discover how to make your home cheaper to run and more comfortable while reducing your carbon emissions.

The national Residential Efficiency Scorecard is a government-backed and subsidised program that offers:

  • a star rating for your home, just like your washing machine
  • a clear pathway to reduce your energy costs and emissions

while making your home cooler in summer and warmer in winter.

Whether you want to reduce your energy bills, make your home more comfortable, go all-electric or plan an energy efficient renovation, Ephe who are government-accredited Scorecard assessors, will help you find the best way forward.

To make a booking, all you need to do is jump onto Ephe's website and book an assessor at a date and time that works for you. They will even apply the Victorian Energy Upgrade subsidy to their prices at the booking stage.

Prices vary based on the size of your home:

  • $392 – four bedrooms or more
  • $352 – three bedrooms
  • $312 – two bedroom or less.

We want to support everyone to enjoy the benefits of a Residential Efficiency Scorecard. Council will provide a limited number of FREE home energy assessments to Stonnington residents with a valid concession card or tertiary student ID. These will be provided on a first come first served basis with a limit of one per household. You will be asked to provide a copy of the card/ID after booking so we can confirm your free appointment.

Our Towards Zero Home Energy Assessment Program aligns with our Climate Emergency Action Plan (2021-2024) Priority One - Zero carbon Stonnington, actions to avoid and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
