Jindabyne Shared Trail Project Update 20 April

Fresh earthworks on an in-progress trail segment of the Jindabyne Shared Trail in April 2026, rocks and dense bushland surrounding

Local contractors working on the Jindabyne Shared Trail project have had a massive four weeks since our last update across the new and improved trail network, culminating in the roughing-in of over a kilometre of brand new trail from the East Jindabyne boat ramp to Siesta Villa in only seven days.

For the safety of the public and workers on site, the listed trails are closed until works are complete. Signs and temporary exclusion fencing are in place.

Tyrolean Village trail network updates
  • Bunty's (North and South) — Commences this week
  • Centre Link – Underway, work continuing over the next fortnight
  • Huff n Puff – Underway, work continuing over the next fortnight
  • New Trail 25 — Approximately 80% complete, on-track for completion next week
  • Orbital — Approximately 80% complete
  • Sri Chinmoy / Green Climb — Carpark construction and trail finalisation remain
  • Whoop D Doo — Approximately 90% complete

Council reminds local and visiting trail users to please keep out and stay off trails and trail sections that are under construction. Small numbers of people continue to cause damage to these publicly funded works.

Our local Jindabyne-based contractors are spending their own money and time to repair all damage caused, instead of continuing their work to deliver new and upgraded trails for the benefit of our community.

Please help ensure that all the hard work that's gone into building the new and upgraded trail network doesn't go to waste. Keep off recent and in-progress works until things have dried out.

Thank you to the overwhelming majority of residents and visitors that continue to do the right thing. We appreciate your patience and we're all excited to welcome you onto the completed trails and expanded trail network in the very near future.

The Jindabyne Shared Trail project is proudly funded by the NSW Government.
