From 26-28 October 2026, Forschungszentrum Jülich will be presenting itself at the European Hydrogen Week trade fair in Brussels as a partner in the development of solutions for the hydrogen economy. The event brings together politics, business, and research to drive forward the expansion of the hydrogen economy in Europe.

Jülich combines socio-economic considerations and the analysis of future energy systems with the development of electrolysers and fuel cells, right through to the transport, storage, and use of hydrogen. The focus is on hydrogen's contribution to climate protection and how the necessary technologies can become more efficient, durable, and cost-effective. FZJ is using this European forum to deepen collaborations, attract new partners, and jointly shape the path from research to application.
The research is brought to life at the exhibition stand: firstly, Jülich Systems Analysis demonstrates how the energy transition can succeed through the optimal interplay of generation, transport, infrastructure, costs, and policy. A transparent electrolysis cell provides insights into hydrogen production. The DeVer 2-in-1 reactor combines the release of hydrogen from a liquid carrier with the provision of the heat required for this process through hydrogen combustion. The Helmholtz Hydrogen Cluster HC-H2 demonstrates how new technologies are being tested under real-world conditions in collaboration with partners in the Rhineland coalfield.
The Jülich exhibition stand: Brussels Expo, Hall 7, Stand F21.
