Kathleen Long, MD, FAAP, to Retire on Nov. 19

After 40 years of medical practice and 25 years at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Kathleen Long, MD, FAAP, a pediatrician at CHOP Primary Care Haverford, is retiring effective Nov. 19, 2020.

"I will miss my patients and their families, but am excited about the next chapter in my life," she says. "People say you learn something new every day, and I've certainly found that to be true in my practice. I've learned how important it is to listen to my families; parents really do have an instinct and we should trust it, and children and young adults are all unique, with their own perspectives and concerns. I look forward to continuing to grow and learn in my retirement."

As Dr. Long prepares to retire, she'll be available for video visits with her current patients to discuss concerns and help them transition to a new provider. To request an appointment, please call CHOP Primary Care Haverford at 610-658-0999.
