Key milestone for Halls Creek District High School improvement

  • Architect appointed to $10 million redevelopment and construction project at Halls Creek District High School
  • MPS Architects will lead the design of the new facilities

  • Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery has today announced that MPS Architects have been appointed to design the new facilities and refurbishments at Halls Creek District High School.

    The $10 million major works will include a new general teaching block, additions to the administration building, refurbishment of the existing food and textiles studio as well as removal of an old existing classroom block.

    Once completed, students and staff will enjoy bright and modern classroom facilities to support their teaching and learning.

    Now that the architects have been appointed, the project team will meet with the school to undertake a site investigation and begin the design phase.

    The project is a McGowan Labor Government election commitment and will support local jobs.

    As stated by Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery:

    "I'm pleased to announce the design phase for the major construction project at Halls Creek District High School can now commence.

    "Refurbishments and additions to the school will provide students with welcoming classroom spaces to inspire their learning."

    As stated by Kimberley MLA Divina D'Anna:

    "It's exciting to see one of my key election commitments progressing.

    "This is an awesome project that will provide fantastic facilities and encourage students to learn and grow."
