35 nominees from across eight King's faculties have been shortlisted for King's Engaged Research Awards, to recognise and celebrate public and community engagement with research at King's.
35 nominees have been shortlisted for the inaugural King's Engaged Research Awards. Created by King's Engaged Researcher Network (KERN), the awards aim to recognise and celebrate impactful public and community engagement with research across King's. The shortlist was selected from 86 nominations received by the KERN Working Group. Representing eight of King's faculties, nominated research projects involve audiences and external collaborators from a range of backgrounds, including community groups, arts and cultural organisations, business and healthcare.
The shortlist reflects a very high standard of entries and only represents a small selection of the impactful research taking place across King's. The awards ceremony will be an opportunity for the King's community and our partners to celebrate our commitment to meaningful public and community engagement with research.
King's Engaged Research Awards Working Group
The awards include 5 overarching categories that showcase excellence in a variety of different engagement approaches and across diverse audiences, with subcategories linked to local, national and international work. The categories are: Communicating Research, Collaboration, Engaged Practice/Participatory Research, PhD and Early Career Research Award, Transforming Research Culture or Public Life.
