Council is asking the community to put a name forward for the 2026 Australia Day Awards. The Awards recognise residents, volunteers, clubs and events that shape life in the Tweed.
Awards will be presented across 7 categories:
- Citizen of the Year, Arts and Culture
- Volunteer of the Year
- Sporting Achievement of the Year
- Community Event of the Year
- Young Achiever in Community Service
- Senior Ambassador Volunteer of the Year
- Sporting Achievement of the Year (individual or group).
Anyone can put a nomination forward, whether as an individual, a club or a community organisation.
