Kogan.com, 4 Ingredients and Ruby's Home Store take out top gongs at 2022 ORIAS

Australia Post

The 2022 People's Choice awards at Australia Post Online Retail Industry Awards (ORIAS) have been announced at the first ORIAS gala event to celebrate the eCommerce retail industry since 2019.

Kogan.com has once again been crowned Australia's favourite large online retailer, with 4 Ingredients and Ruby's Home Store named Australia's favourite small online retailers.

The hotly contested People's Choice is the only ORIAS to be decided by online shoppers and this year more than 160,000 Australians cast their vote across the three categories of Large Retailer over $1M, Small Retailer over $100K and Small Retailer under $100K.

Kogan.com Director of Marketplace Lazar Monin said it was amazing to connect with so many of their peers at the biggest event of the year and the award was fantastic recognition by their customers.

"A massive, massive thank you to our customers, who keep coming back and casting their votes. It means so much to us," Mr Monin said.

Owner and author of 4 Ingredients Kim McCosker said the whole experience had been amazing.

"After the 2 years that we've had, it's great to be celebrating. Thank you to Online Retailer, Australia Post and the public. It's really the three of you combined that have made this possible," Ms McCosker said.

Ruby's Home Store owner and CEO Jane Fonti said having a store had been her lifelong dream and the award showed that her business was doing all the right things.

"I can't quite believe it we've never been to anything like this before. This award means the world. Thank you to Australia Post for your ongoing support and a huge thank you to our customers for voting, and for your love for us. We love you too," Ms Fonti said.

Australia Post Executive General Manager, Customer & Commercial, Gary Starr congratulated the winners and said it was exciting to see more than 2,500 online retailers in the running for this year's ORIAS People's Choice Awards.

"We take great pride in connecting Australians with their favourite online retailers and with so many businesses entering this year, it was difficult to pick which way consumers would vote," Mr Starr said.

"It's wonderful to acknowledge our winning retailers with this award and to celebrate their fantastic work, as recognised by their own customers."

The 2021 ORIAS People's Choice winners, which included Kogan.com, again for favourite large online retailer, Thermo Foodie and the Chef and Australian Made Clothes, were also celebrated.
