Kimberley Joint Response Team officers have charged a man as a result of their investigation into the sexual assault of a woman on 16 July 2019.
It is alleged between 5am and 5.45am, the man grabbed a woman who was walking along Mistletoe Avenue and dragged her into the rear yard of a nearby house and then sexually assaulted her.
The 24-year-old man from the Wyndham area has been charged with:-
• Five counts of Aggravated Sexual Penetration without Consent;
• One count of Attempted Sexual Penetration without Consent; and
• One count of Deprivation of Liberty.
He is due to appear before the Kununurra Magistrates Court today, 23 July 2019.
