Labor Blocks Release Of Key CFMEU Documents

Liberal Party Victoria

The Allan Labor Government is blocking the release of hundreds of pages of documents linked to the CFMEU, corruption and Victoria's building industry.

Today at 9:30am a directions hearing in the matter of David Davis MP v Department of Premier and Cabinet (Z1491/2025) will determine the next steps in the case.

This hearing will test whether Labor can justify keeping these documents secret.

In this case, 1,082 pages of documents have been identified; yet a staggering 945 pages or 87 per cent, have been withheld from public view.

Victorians deserve to know what Labor is trying to hide.

Labor must explain why it is refusing to release the overwhelming majority of these documents, and why it has failed to provide a proper schedule detailing what has been withheld, how many pages are involved, and the justification for keeping them secret.

This lack of transparency creates a black hole in Labor's accounting and raises serious questions about what is being covered up.

Under Premier Allan, at least $15 billion of taxpayer money has been lost to corruption on Victorian Government Big Build sites.

Victorians deserve straight answers, accountability and transparency, and it is timem for Labor to come clean.

Only a Liberal and Nationals Government has a plan to follow the money, stop the rorts and clean up corruption.

We will keep pushing for full transparency and the release of these documents.
