Works are set to continue on the exciting upgrade at Lalor Shopping Centre.
Stage two of the project is due to start in late May. These works include the construction of a new social gathering space in David Street with paving, seats, lighting and more plants to improve the appearance and functionality of this space. The works also include replacing the public toilet block.
The Cyprus Street car park will be upgraded to provide more parking bays, more plants and improved lighting.
An upgraded roundabout at David and Station streets will improve traffic flow with safer crossings for pedestrians.
To ensure safety during construction, some pedestrian access will be altered, and road conditions will be changed at the corner of Station Street and David Street, whilst the roundabout is upgraded.
These works follow on from streetscape upgrades along Station Street in Lalor in 2019 where two new safer crossings were built, the footpath was replaced, a new bus stop installed and a dedicated southbound lane was constructed to improve traffic flow.
