If you live near or regularly visit Hinkler Reserve in Glen Waverley (69-81 Hinkler Rd), you have until 11.59pm Sunday 16 August to help shape the design of a new playspace.
Tell us what type of play equipment and fitness equipment you'd like to see in the design.
Your feedback will help us develop a concept design, which we'll present back to the community for feedback by November 2026.
Funding for the construction of the playground will be considered by Council as part of the 2027/28 annual budget process.
Design guidelines
Hinkler Reserve is classified as a 'local' playspace, which guides the budget and scope of our design.
Local playgrounds playspaces are usually designed:
- with 5 to 8 pieces of play equipment
- for preschool to primary school-aged children
- for shorter visits by locals.
The design will also include a small outdoor fitness hub, and we are proposing a mini netball/basketball shooting court that will give children of different ages more opportunities to play outdoors.
