Kings Park will be transformed into a winter wonderland light spectacular when the global phenomenon 'Lightscape' hits Perth in June.

More than 190,000 tickets will go on sale this morning for the breathtaking interactive experience along a 1.8 kilometre trail through the iconic park and botanic gardens.

The six-week extravaganza will have a Western Australian twist, with local artists helping craft the unique light and sound show. The journey will begin beneath tree canopies illuminated in colour, with larger-than-life flowers and dynamic glowing tunnels.

'Lightscape' has captivated millions in cities around the world and has only been seen once before in Australia. It made its debut in Melbourne earlier this year to rave reviews, after wowing sell-out audiences in the U.K. and United States.

Ticket prices start from $36 or $120 for a family pass and are available from 10am at https://premier.ticketek.com.au/shows/Show.aspx?sh=LIGHTPER23

As stated by Environment Minister Reece Whitby:

"It's fantastic that Western Australians have the opportunity to experience such a world-class, larger-than-life extravaganza.

"Kings Park is the heart and soul of Perth and I'm sure Western Australians will snap up tickets to what is expected to be a sell-out immersive spectacle.

"Lightscape offers Western Australians a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see our very own Kings Park in, quite literally, a whole new light."
