The ACT Government is progressing the modernisation of Majura Primary School with the appointment of Projex Building Group to deliver the new, larger school library.
As the construction partner, Projex will also refurbish the existing library to create a new administration area for school staff.
Projex was awarded the contract following a competitive procurement process.
These works form part of the wider Majura Primary School modernisation project that includes upgrading classrooms, improving heating and cooling, and refurbishing bathrooms across the 60-year-old school.
A separate contractor will be engaged to deliver future staged works.
The modernisation project is a $20 million investment in the future of education for families in the Inner North, and part of the ACT Government's record $800 million investment to build and upgrade public schools right across Canberra.
