Man arrested for drug offences in the CBD, SA

Police have arrested a man for alleged drug trafficking in the city early this morning, according to SA Police.

Just before 2am patrols were called to a licensed premises on Hindley Street after receiving information a man was in possession of drugs.

Police spoke to the man and following a search located 25 tablets believed to be ecstasy and 2 grams of powder police will allege is cocaine.

A 19-year-old man from Surrey Downs was charged with trafficking in a controlled drug, issued a drug diversion and a three month barring order.

He has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 30 September 2016.
