Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following an incident on a bus from Hallam to Narre Warren last month, Victoria Police say.
It’s alleged a 17-year-old girl boarded a bus on Frawley Road Hallam just after 1.50pm on 17 September.
A man allegedly approached the victim, removed her bag from the seat and placed it on her lap.
He then allegedly sexually assaulted the victim before disembarking the bus.
A 46-year-old Dandenong man was arrested today and has been charged with one count of sexual assault.
He has been bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 20 December.
