A man is due to face court today after being charged with more than a dozen traffic offences, including allegedly driving nine times while disqualified, in Sydney's west.
Officers attached to Bankstown Highway Patrol Command commenced an investigation into a 25-year-old driver following a series of online videos depicting alleged dangerous driving behaviour.
At this time, police identified nine alleged incidents, which occurred in Bankstown, Guildford, Villawood, Chester Hill, Punchbowl and Merrylands in April 2025.
Police will allege in one incident, on Friday 4 April 2025 on Guildford Road, Guildford, the man was driving a BMW sedan at a speed of 155km/h in a signposted 50km/h zone.
In another incident, on Sunday 6 April 2025, police will allege the man was in driving in the same vehicle at 144km/h in a signposted 60km/h zone on Meredith Street, Bankstown.
Following inquiries, about 5pm yesterday (Thursday 24 April 2025,) police attended an address on Lough Avenue, Guildford, where they arrested the 25-year-old man.
He was taken to Bankstown Police Station, where he was charged with nine counts of drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, four counts of driver use mobile phone when not permitted and four counts of drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous.
He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Friday 25 April 2025).
The man is disqualified from driving until 2027.
