Vehicle Crime Squad detectives have arrested and charged a man as part of an ongoing investigation into the alleged trafficking of high end sports cars, Victoria Police say.
Investigators arrested the 39-year-old Broadmeadows man about 10.30 this morning and executed a search warrant at a residence in Stamford Court, Broadmeadows.
The arrest follows the seizure of two allegedly stolen cars, a Porsche Carrera 911s and BMZ Z4, at a wrecking yard in Somerton on Saturday.
The man was charged with handling stolen goods, possess proceeds of crime and commit indictable offence on bail.
He appeared at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today and has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court tomorrow.
