A man has been charged following an investigation into the alleged supply of prohibited drugs in the state's south, under Strike Force Nyrol.
Officers attached to Monaro Police District established Strike Force Nyrol in June 2026 to investigate a man with alleged links to a prohibited drug supply network.
Following extensive inquiries, about 4pm yesterday (Wednesday 23 September 2026), strike force officers from Monaro Region Enforcement Squad, with the assistance of Southern Region Operations Support Group and Illawarra Region Enforcement Squad, stopped a hatchback on the M7 Motorway, Rooty Hill, and arrested a 36-year-old man.
During a subsequent search of the hatchback, officers allegedly located and seized a bag containing 378g of cocaine and 498g of methylamphetamine with an estimated street value of $262,000.
The 36-year-old man was taken to Mount Druitt Police Station and charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug greater than or equal to commercial quantity and hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty.
The man was refused bail to appear before Mount Druitt Local Court today (Thursday 24 September 2026).
Following further inquiries, about 7.40pm the same day, strike force officers executed a search warrant at a home on Cressy Avenue, Goulburn.
Officers allegedly located and seized 140g of methylamphetamine, THC gummies, a can of OC spray, cash and mobile phones.
Investigations under Strike Force Nyrol continue.
