A 25-year-old man has been charged by Child Abuse Squad detectives after he allegedly assaulted his seven-week-old baby, causing serious injuries.
It is alleged on Friday 10 August 2018, the man was home alone with the baby which resulted in the baby receiving serious injuries. The baby was conveyed by ambulance to Perth Children’s Hospital where he was treated. The baby suffered life threatening injuries, WA Police say.
The man from Hamersley has been charged with Grievous Bodily Harm with a Circumstance of Aggravation.
He is next due to appear before the Joondalup Magistrates Court on 19 October 2018.
